Healthy eating plays an important role in children’s growth, development and wellbeing. At Village Early Learning, we provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks that support children’s energy, learning and active play throughout the day.
Fresh meals are prepared by our experienced chefs using quality ingredients and seasonal menus that introduce children to a variety of flavours, textures and culturally diverse foods.
Our menus are thoughtfully planned in line with recognised nutritional guidelines and Nutrition Australia recommendations, ensuring children receive the nutrients they need during their early years.
Throughout the day, children enjoy a range of healthy meals and snacks designed to encourage positive eating habits and a healthy relationship with food. Menus are displayed at each centre, so families can stay connected with their child’s daily meals.
Every child has unique nutritional needs. We work closely with families to accommodate allergies, intolerances, cultural preferences and medically required dietary requirements.
During enrolment, families are encouraged to share any dietary needs with their Centre Manager so appropriate plans can be created to support safe and inclusive mealtimes.
Children’s safety and wellbeing are our highest priority. Village Early Learning follows strict food safety procedures and maintains allergy-aware environments to help minimise risks. For children with diagnosed allergies, we partner with families to develop Risk Minimisation Plans and Communication Plans.
Our educators and chefs follow clear procedures for food preparation, storage, labelling and supervision. All Village Early Learning centres are nut-aware environments, and families are asked not to bring foods containing peanuts or tree nuts into the centre.
Mealtimes are valuable learning experiences where children develop independence, social skills and confidence while exploring new foods.
Through positive and relaxed mealtime experiences, we help children build healthy eating habits that support their wellbeing now and into the future.
Healthy habits begin in the early years. Visit your nearest Village centre and discover how our nutritious meals, inclusive food practices and positive mealtime experiences support children’s health, wellbeing and development every day.
